Rebuild and Download the Plugin

 

Why should you Rebuild and Download the plugin? - Anytime data is changed inside of SwiftK12 the new data needs to be pulled from PowerSchool. The new plugin has to be built containing the new data we need to access. The new plugin goes in, SwiftK12 syncs then the system pulls down the additional data. It works the same for deleting contact fields or merge fields. We need to remove the data we no longer need to access.

When should you Rebuild and Download the plugin? - Anytime you make changes to the Contact Filed Mappings page and the Merge Fields page in SwiftK12 you will need to Rebuild and Download the plugin.  

How to Rebuild and Download the plugin  - Follow the Steps below.

The Plugin must be rebuilt and saved as a full zip file to your computer.

From your PowerSchool home page on the left-hand navigation pane, there will be a header titled: SetUp

Under this header choose System (Setup PowerSchool Systems)

Scroll towards the bottom of the page-Under Server choose System Settings

On the next page in the middle of the screen, choose Plug-In Management Configuration

On the bottom of the page Delete the current SwiftReachSwiftK12 Alerting Plugin.

On top of the page choose Install, click Choose File- choose the new plug in file from your downloaded files and click install. A popup box will say- Loading.

Click Register on the bottom right of the Plugin Registration pop up box, a box will pop up saying Loading.

The Registration Results box will pop up on the bottom right click on OK.

On the Plugin Management Dashboard page Scroll down to the bottom and check off the Enable / Disable box where it says Swiftreach SwiftK12 Alerting.  

On the Enable Plug inbox click on Enable on the bottom right of the box, this will bring you back to the Plugin Management Dashboard screen.

You have now Successfully rebuilt and downloaded your plugin.

Do you have to run a Sync after you Rebuild and Download the Plugin? Yes.- Best practice is to run a sync after you Rebuild and Download the Plugin.

To run your Sync- follow the steps below.

Click on the word Start Page under The PowerSchool Logo on the top left.

Click on SwiftReach SwiftK12

From your SwiftK12 home page click on Settings on the top right of the page, under System Settings click on Contact Field Mappings.

Click on the Sync Data button on the top right of the page.
